Survivor 40: All Winners Wish List

It has basically been confirmed that Season 40 of Survivor will feature a cast of all winners, the people who have played the game before and have come out victorious. Redmond, an insider source revealed on Reddit that the current theme was an all champions edition of the show's milestone 40th season. Though the season is not supposed to premiere until 2020, there have been numerous cast wish lists going around, but I have not revealed who I want to see. I will give my 10 winners that I want to see return again; this will not be in any particular order.

1. Richard Hatch- Winner of Survivor: Borneo (Season 1)

Richard Hatch

It is long overdue for the return of one of the most infamous villains of the show's history. Richard Hatch won the first season by forming the first alliance of the show that would be the framework for every season after. He used his social and strategic game to further himself in the game by telling his alliance who to vote off every week. He won by a 4-3 vote in the Final Tribal Council. Hatch returned to compete on Survivor: All Stars where he placed 14th due to him being a former winner. He was slated to return for a number of seasons, but he could not leave the country due to tax evasion. Hatch has stated on Twitter that he would love to come back for another go round. How could you not do an All Winners season without the first winner in the show's history?

2. Denise Stapley- Winner of Survivor: Philippines (Season 25)
Denise is one of the most underrated and underappreciated winners this show has ever seen. She was eligible to go home every single week due to her having to go to every single tribal council, the only winner to do so. Using her social game, Denise was able to wedge herself into alliances, so that she could remain safe. She blindsided big game threats in Artis and Jonathan, and faced the Final Tribal Council, where she was praised for driving the flow of the 39-day game. In the end, Denise won in a 6-1-1 vote, where she was praised in being one of the strongest women the show has ever seen. I need to see Denise return for another chance. She has the brains and the brawn to win for a second time.

Michele Fitzgerald

3. Michele Fitzgerald- Winner of Survivor: Kaoh Rong (Season 32)

Michele is a very controversial winner. Every body views her season as "the season Aubry lost." I thought Aubry deserved the win as well, but Michele played a pretty decent game. She was able to get into an alliance after being put on the bottom, and she won the last immunity challenge. Her likability won her the game, and in a game like Survivor, likability plays a huge role in a winner. At the end of the game she won in a 5-2-0 jury vote at the Final Tribal Council. I don't know if Jeff will let Michele back on the show because he hates her as a winner, but I want to see her again. She needs to show that she is a force to be reckoned with because she showed in Kaoh Rong that she could be a dangerous player.

Earl Cole
4. Earl Cole- Winner of Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13)
Many casual fans probably forget Earl, but the super fans of the show will never forget Earl's calculated gameplay. Many people say Yau-Man was the best player of that season, but it was Earl. Earl managed to lead an alliance to take out the "bro alliance" of that season. Due to the jury's bitter disdain towards runner-ups Dreamz and Cassandra, Earl won the game in a 9-0-0 vote, becoming the first black man to win and rightfully so. Earl has expressed many times his desire to return to the show if the time was right. I don't know if the time is right for him. I hope we get to see Earl be underestimated by the other winners out there.

Sandra Diaz-Twine
5. Sandra Diaz-Twine- Winner of Survivor: Pearl Islands (Season 7) and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (Season 20)                                                               Who is the queen of Survivor? Sandra Diaz-Twine. The first and so far only two-time winner recently made a return on Survivor: Game Changers where she placed 15th after controlling the pre-merge portion of the game. Sandra played passively when she needed to and she played "loud" when she needed to. On her first season, Sandra floated between alliances and planted seeds to advance herself in the game. She won by a 6-1 jury vote. Sandra returned years later to compete in the show's 20th season as part of the villains' tribe. She made nice with the heroes alliance and had a good relationship with the villains (minus Russell) where she found herself at the Final Tribal Council again, beating Survivor legends Parvati Shallow and Russell Hantz in a 6-3-0 jury vote. I believe Sandra is the best Survivor player ever. I do not believe she can retain her crown, but the season would not be anything without her.

6. Parvati Shallow- Winner of Survivor: Micronesia- Fans vs. Favorites (Season 16)
Image result for parvati shallow
Parvati Shallow

Speaking of legends of Survivor, we can never forget Parvati Shallow. Parvati went from being a WTF returnee in Fans vs. Favorites, to a respectable social player, to one of the best players the show has ever seen. In her first season she used her social game to form the Black Widow Brigade. As a result she made the Final 2 where she won in a 5-3 jury vote against Amanda Kimmel. Parvati retuned to compete in Heroes vs. Villains where she was deemed to be the biggest threat in the game, but managed to avoid being voted out where she made the Final Tribal Council for a second time, ultimately losing to Sandra Diaz-Twine. It would be a tragedy if Parvati did not return for this season. I think she would have a hard time, but anything can happen.

7. Yul Kwon- Winner of Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13)
Image result for yul kwon
Yul Kwon

Yul is due for a comeback. He brilliantly outplayed everyone on his season, using his strategic prowess to flip Jonathan to his side where he had the numbers for the rest of the game to get him to the end. People knock on Yul for his "overpowered" idol, but at the time, the rules were the idol could only be played after, and Yul managed to use that to his advantage. Yul won in a 5-4-0 jury vote against fan-favorite and overrated (I said what I said) player Ozzy. Yul is someone that I have wanted to see come back on the show for years. Why production has yet to bring him back, I don't know, but now would be the perfect time for the second coming of Yul, if he is up for it at least.

8. Danni Boatwright- Winner of Survivor: Guatemala (Season 11)
Image result for danni boatwright
Danni Boatwright

Talk about underrated. None of the casual, cat lady Facebook people remember who Danni is, but the super fans of the show sure do. Danni was overshadowed by fan-favorite and eventual runner-up Stephenie during this season, but this does not outweigh the fact that Danni deserved her 6-1 win. Danni survived a 6-4 majority where she wiggled her way into the minority alliance before it was too late to get rid of her. She also knew that production was telling the players of other players' strategies, so she kept her strategy to herself to avoid being found out about. Danni was on the short list for Survivor: Game Changers, but was passed over. I would love to see Danni return, and I think she would do very well to be honest!

9. Sophie Clarke- Winner of Survivor: South Pacific (Season 23)
Image result for sophie clarke survivor
Sophie Clarke

This is another winner to be on the shortlist of Survivor: Game Changers. Sophie played a quiet game on her season. She only opened her mouth when she saw that her alliance was going to do something that she did not want to do, which is pretty smart in my opinion. People say Coach deserved to win, but Sophie played smarter. Bottom line, cut and dry. She got her alliance to vote out Cochran and Brandon without them realizing it was her idea. Sophie won in a 6-3-0 jury vote, and though a very unlikable winner at the time, has become a fan-favorite in the Survivor community. I want to see Sophie prove to fans that she did not win by accident and that she won on her own merit!

10. Kim Spradlin- Winner of Survivor: One World (Season 24)
Image result for kim spradlin

Whenever there's that Reddit question on who the best winner of the show is, I always answer Kim. Though Kim played with the dumbest cast on the worst season of the show to date, you cannot deny she wiped the floor with them all. She controlled her all-girl alliance, and was the spearhead of the elimination order. Everything went her way in the game. Was it boring to watch? Duh, but you can't blame her. She took advantage of her opponents' stupidity and won the game because of it in a 7-2-0 jury vote. I think Kim might have a tough road in an All Winners season, but I have seen stranger things happen on the show.

Thank you for reading my wish list for Survivor 40. I am so excited for this season. I think it'll be one of the best seasons. We can only hope, right? It'll be interesting to see if Season 38 and Season 39's winners will be included in the cast. Should be interesting!

Top 10 Episodes of The Walking Dead

It's been a week since the season 9 finale of The Walking Dead. Season 9 was such a great season, and it has inspired me to name my top 10 favorite episodes of the series. Some might be controversially placed in your opinion, but my list is not so different from the normal watcher's opinion. Let's get started...

10. Beside the Dying Fire- Season 2 Ep. 13

Season 2 of series is a controversial season for fans of the show. Some thought the pacing was very slow, and I can see where they are coming from, but I liked season 2 especially after the final aired. "Beside the Dying Fire" brought a whole lot of action to the table, and it was actually a scary episode. A horde of walkers who have migrated from the city attack Hershel's farm. Half the episode is non-stop murdering of the zombies. Two of the filler characters die as well, which was convenient considering they never brought anything to the season. Andrea is split from the group and is saved by Michonne was has yet to be revealed to TV viewers. Also, at the end of the episode Rick reveals to his group that everyone is infected with the zombie virus which puts a nice twist on the severity of the survivors' lives. The episode served as a great conclusion to what I thought was an amazing season.

9. What Lies Ahead- Season 2 Ep. 1

Image result for what lies ahead the walking dead     The season 2 premiere of the show could best be described as suspenseful. The main group of survivors is on a highway with abandoned cars when a herd of zombies makes its way towards them. The group is forced to hide under the cars as they hope the zombies don't spot them hiding. This is one of the scariest and tense scenes in the show's history. In the midst of this chaos, Sophia goes missing setting up half the season of the question: Where is Sophia? At the end of the episode, Carl is shot by someone off-screen which is off-putting for some viewers. All in all, the episode was spectacular; it gave you everything you want in a tv episode.

8. Days Gone Bye- Season 1 Ep. 1

The episode that started it all. The series premiere starts with a bang as Rick, the main protagonist is forced to shoot a little zombie girl, showing that no one is safe and that the show was going to be brutal. In a flashback, Rick is shot to where he wakes up in the present day unbeknownst to him that the normal world is gone. The episode provides outstanding acting from Andrew Lincoln and Lennie James. Morgan's character struggles with killing his zombified wife, Rick's wife (thinking he's dead) is dating his best friend, and Rick discovers the city of Atlanta to be inhabited by the dead. The episode really had me invested from minute one and as a result, I have been watching it ever since for the past nine years.

7. Killer Within- Season 3 Ep. 4

Image result for killer within

In an episode we all thought would be filler considering it was an awkward point in the first half of season 3, we sure were wrong. The episode kills off two of its regulars that have been on the show since the first season including Lori, the female lead of the show. The prison is overrun by walkers as the group is forced to split up. T-Dog is bitten where he sacrifices his life to save Carol. Lori goes into labor to where she cannot give birth naturally, but by a C-section where she gives up her own life to save her baby's. Carl is forced to shoot his mother before she turns into a zombie. The episode gave us an amazing last performance of Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori as she tells her son to survive the world and beat it. Also, the ending scene where Maggie basically reveals to Rick that Lori died is incredibly emotional. The episode showed that any episode could be a big one not just premieres and finales.

6. No Sanctuary- Season 5 Ep 1.

After season 4's cliffhanger, Season 5 gives us an amazing season opener. One of the first scenes shows the people of Terminus about to kill Rick and some of his group by bending them over, hitting their heads with a baseball bat, and slitting their throats. It is a very hard scene to watch even though it happens to a bunch of redshirts, but alas the group is saved by Carol as she disguises herself as a walker and sets the place on fire. This cemented Carol as my favorite character on the show. She went from a meek and timid woman to a warrior. Also, the scene where Rick shoots down five of the Terminus members in three seconds is a phenomenal scene. This episode showed that with the show five seasons in, it has the ability to make great content.

5. Too Far Gone- Season 4 Ep. 8

The viewers waited for this episode to happen for a season and a half. The governor storyline should have been wrapped up in season three, but for some reason, the producers wished for it to go on half a season longer. After two boring episodes of the governor, the battle between the protagonists and the governor comes head to head. After a stand off outside the prison fences, Rick tries to negotiate a truce between the two groups only for the governor to chop Hershel's head off. It's a hard scene to watch considering Hershel was the member of the group who provided everyone with hope for a new future. It was so satisfying seeing all of the governor's minions get killed especially when Lizzie shoots Alicia in the head. So great. I also loved that Michonne was the one to disarm and stab the governor. This episode is one of the best mid-season finales of the show's nine seasons.

4. The Grove- Season 4 Ep. 14

After a series of boring episodes, "The Grove" provided an episode filled with a dark plotline and incredible acting. Lizzie kills her younger sister Mika to "prove" that the dead and humans are the same and should be treated as such. Very twisted. Melissa McBride provides an unforgettable performance as Carol as she debates on what to do with Lizzie before she kills her. Carol also reveals to Tyreese that she killed his girlfriend in order to stop the illness at the prison from spreading to which Tyreese forgives her. So powerful. This episode is not known as one of the "big" episodes of the show, but it should be. It is not a flashy episode, but that is what makes it so unique about the show.

3. No Way Out- Season 6 Ep. 9

The episode before this was complete and utter garbage. A cliffhanger in the middle of the season? No sir. This episode; however, made up for it. Jessie and her whole family are killed by the herd as her son starts to freak out. After Michonne kills Ron, his stray bullet goes through Carl's eye. It was a very shocking moment especially for people who do not read the comics. The most impactful scene in this episode though is when the whole town of Alexandria comes together to fight off the herd. Many people consider this episode to be the best in the show's series. I think it's pretty darn great, but just not my top episode.

2. The Calm Before- Season 9 Ep. 15
Image result for the calm before walking dead episode

This episode has a bit of a slower start to the episode, but the writers did a great job with the buildup. I was on the edge of my seat because this episode was just too good to be true. Alpha disguises herself as an Alexandrian and enters the Kingdom. The fair at the Kingdom was not going to stay cordial for long. A group goes out to defend the Hilltop only to be confronted by the whisperers. At the end of the episode it is revealed that while Alpha was in the Kingdom she captured people and killed them. The main characters find their heads on spikes as a unsettling score plays in the background. It is revealed that major character Tara, Enid, and Henry were among the people murdered. Many fans consider this to be the "Red Wedding" of The Walking Dead. This episode is jaw-droppingly emotional.

1. Pretty Much Dead Already- Season 2 Ep. 7

Talk about a jaw dropper. This is episode has to be the most shocking episode of TV I have ever seen. After a season of not knowing where Sophia was, the viewers finally got their answer. The subplot at this point in the season was that Hershel's barn was full of zombies because he thought there could be a cure. The Sophia storyline was completely separate from that, but two worlds came together because the whole time, Sophia was in the barn, dead. It was a genius twist to the show. I remember watching the episode and being completely stunned at what I had just witnessed. That is why this is the best episode of the show in my opinion. It took something so simple, but twisted it into something that people would not expect. This is when I truly fell in love with the show, and I honestly do not see any episodes in the future topping this one.

Thank you for reading my ranking of my top 10 episodes of The Walking Dead. What is your favorite episode of the show? Let me know in the comments!

Us: Movie Review

Spoilers ahead!!! What kind of acid trip was I on last night? I'm not asking this in a negative way because the movie was good, but wow. I felt like I was on another planet while seeing this film. Today, I will be writing my thoughts on the 2019 film, Us, which was executive produced by Jordan Peele, who is an absolute genius. I continue to look forward to seeing what other movies he has planned for the future!

Ok. I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was going to be scarier than it was, but I wasn't mad when it did not turn out to be that way. This movie is not a horror film; it's a psychological thriller. Lupita Nyong'o does a great job in conveying the psychological aspect to the audience. You can see the fear and craziness in her eyes for both of the characters she plays. I can't wait to see her in be nominated in the Academy Awards next year! The supporting cast did an amazing job as well! I thought the actress who played Zora had the creepiest doppelgänger. She did a great job with that disturbing smile. The comic relief of the film came from Gabe, the father. I loved the scene when the family was taking count on how many Tethered they had killed, and of course Gabe had the standout part in that scene. The actor who portrayed Jason and his doppelgänger, Pluto also did a great job. I loved the parallel of the fire between the two. I was surprised Elisabeth Moss did not have a larger part in the film, but I thought she did an extraordinary job playing her twin. She always kills it in whatever she plays.

Image result for us movie

The movie had so many unique and intriguing scenes in it. The opening scene did a great job in setting up the plot for the film. Every one in my theater was like "Oh shit" when young Adelaide first saw her doppelgänger, and then the movie went right to the opening credits. That was an amazing transition. Another scene I liked is after the power goes out in the family's home, Jason says, "There's a family in our driveway." I got chills when he said that, and I knew right there that I was going to be in for quite the ride. Then, that scene was followed by the interrogation scene where Red is staring at Adelaide with that scary-ass stare. Oh my God, that really messed me up the whole time. But my favorite scene in the movie was when the main family's friends are murdered. I loved how the scene had no music over it. I mean, I knew that family was going to die, but I did not think that they were going to die that quickly. After the family is killed, their doppelgänger's all stare at each other and give a nod of approval to each other. That whole scene was spectacular; whoever directed that scene deserves recognition.

Ok. The one thing that I really did not "enjoy" in the film was the ending. Let me rephrase that. I did like the ending; however, I saw it coming. In the beginning of the film, I somewhat knew that that was not the real Adelaide that came back. I knew that her doppelgänger had switched with her. Every one was raving about the "twist" ending, but I was not shocked, so my rating of the film went down a little bit after that. I did like the ending as a whole, though. That whole dance sequence at the end of the movie was beautifully acted and choreographed. I appreciated that a lot about the ending. Also, it made sense that bad Adelaide had the ability to switch with the real Adelaide because they were the only two that the experiment worked for. Duh. I couldn't believe I did not pick up on that.

Image result for us movie      There are a few ways to interpret this movie. I interpreted as us (no pun intended) not appreciating the world to our fullest extent. The Tethered appreciated the world above them since the world below them did not contain any happiness or free will. The Tethered reaching across the world means to me that they will appreciate the land above not like the humans did. Also, I realized that the scissors being used as the Tethered's weapons symbolized "cutting the thread of humanity". There are so many details and symbols throughout this film that I will probably notice as I rewatch the film as it comes out. I was a bit confused of how good Adelaide became bad and how bad Adelaide became good. I think it goes to show that the people above really were the good people and the people below really were that evil. That is why bad Adelaide became good and forgot her past as original Red and why the original Adelaide became bad and forgot her past. It totally juxtaposes what Red was telling Adelaide about the Tethered inheriting the Earth as it should be. Very smart of Jordan Peele.

Overall, this movie was very good. Would I go see it again for a second time? I think so. The beginning, middle, and even the ending are great in their own, unique way. There are many ways to interpret this movie, and that's ok. Jordan Peele even said that you can interpret the movie in your own way. I'll dock the movie some points for the ending because I saw the "twist" happening even though they made up for it with further explaining the twist. I will give the movie a 7.5/10. I highly recommend you go see the movie yourself and take what you interpret the movie as telling to its audience.

The Walking Dead: The Calm Before Thoughts

I cannot believe I am about to say this, but I think The Walking Dead has found its groove again. This whole season has been a delight and a return to form for the series. There have been I believe a total of maybe two episodes this season that I have not enjoyed which says a lot considering there were only like two episodes in the last two seasons that I did enjoy. Angela Kang, thank you for making this show good again. I really thought I was going to dread watching this season, but I look forward to watching the show every week again, which hasn't happened in a long ass time. The episode that premiered last night will go down as a top five Walking Dead episode. I knew the ending scene was coming from a mile away, but I had no idea who would be getting the chop.

First off, I would like to commend the pacing of this episode. There were slow parts and fast parts, just like how I like an episode of any show I watch. I thought the beginning did an excellent job in setting up the suspense for the ending. The beginning is very calm and everyone in the Kingdom seems to be having a good time at the fair, but then you see a woman in the background being very sneaky: Alpha. She cleans up well; she looked like a totally different person. It was eerie to watch because I have read the comic books, and I knew at some point she was luring residents away and killing them. I loved the part where Lydia was in the movie theater and Alpha sits next to her and shushes her. It was just a very creepy scene.

Image result for the walking dead the calm before

That horde of zombies that were below Daryl and Alpha...Holy crap! Is that the most number of zombies together? It has to surpass the amount in the Season 6 premiere episode, but there were whisperers down there leading them, so maybe it was not. Who knows, but what we do know is that our lead group of characters are in it deep. Now, let's get to what you came here to read: that ending scene. Wow! It was done very well. I liked the lead up of the characters' importance to the show in general. First, it was the highwayman Ozzy and one of his henchman? I mean we just met them, but I thought we would get a lot more of Ozzy, at least. That took me by surprise. I knew that Savior was going to die. That was a no brainer. I had no idea that Frankie was one of Negan's wives! I completely forgot about that! Tammy's death was sad, but not shocking at the same time. They have been building her up all season, so I knew she was toast. Two of the three teenagers also died. I mean they were assholes, especially the boy, but there deaths were still significant since they were young teenagers. Then, we see Enid and at the same time that horrifying, yet beautiful music is playing in the background. I loved the back and forth of the loved ones trying to ask around if they have seen their deceased loved ones. That was a great touch. I wish they would have done more with Enid after Carl died, but that's Scott Gimple for you. Then, we see Tara's head is on a pike. I was actually surprised considering that she just became leader of Hilltop, and in the comics it is Rosita who dies instead because there is no Tara in the comics. I thought the last victim was going to be Ezekiel because he dies this way in the comics as well, but no it's Henry! That was shocking because I thought he was going to represent the new generation of the Walking Dead universe and plus this whole back half of the season has really been about him, but I guess not now. The acting done by Michonne and Carol in particular was amazing You could see the terror in Michonne's face. Amazing! Also, did anyone see when Daryl held Carol after she realized Henry had been killed? Does that bring back memories to when he held her after she saw Sophia as a zombie? Good call back!
Image result for the walking dead the calm before

I liked the way these characters went out, though. They went out fighting, and it lets the viewers know that these people did care for one another even though they really never had contact with one another. Siddiq did a good job delivering that speech. All in all, ya'll this episode is a must watch. Was this the Red Wedding of The Walking Dead? No, because the Red Wedding is still one of if not the most shocking scenes in TV history for the fact that basically half of the main family was killed off as well as it was the main story line of the show. This was still a great and memorable television moment, though. I hope next episode is as good as this one was, but I am expecting a cliffhanger or something of that sort. Sigh.

Thank you for reading my thoughts on the episode! What did you think of this episode? What do you think of this season? Let me know!

Shameless: Season 9 Finale- Emmy Rossum's Departure

Image result for shameless found
Fiona (Emmy Rossum) packs her bags as she prepares to leave her home.

I was able to watch the season nine finale of Showtime's Shameless earlier in the day for some strange reason. I am not sure why. I have been able to watch this whole season a day before it premiered on television, which is super convenient for me because The Walking Dead has been on at the same time. So, thank you Showtime for releasing the episodes early. I guess I am a special viewer or something? I don't know. It will always be a mystery to me. Ok. Back to what I was writing about. The Shameless season nine finale. If you read one of my previous blogs, I really went in on the recent seasons of Shameless, particularly this one. I have hated the direction the writers have been taking us for the past three seasons, and this season took the cake; however, the past few episodes have been decent including this one. I have mainly positive opinions on Emmy Rossum's departure, but there  is one small detractor.

Aspects of the episode I liked (not including the main plot of Emmy Rossum departing from the cast) were Ethan Cutkosky's acting when he says he will always be a loser. I never saw Carl's character get that upset about something before, let alone being upset with himself. Plus, another positive was him screaming in Debbie's face. I hate Debbie, but you all already know that and probably agree with me. I really liked the scene where Liam is asking permission to live at his friends' house while his family ignores him. That was a funny little scene even though that whole storyline just felt odd to me. The last thing I liked about the finale was when Fiona visited Ian in prison. Maybe it was a little too soon to see him again especially since he left not too long ago, but that's okay. I appreciated Ian being the one to get Fiona to leave Chicago and start a new life for herself. It was a great scene, and I am really excited to have Cameron Monaghan return next season.

Let's discuss the aspects of the episode I did not like such as Debbie and Carl vandalizing Kelly's car. There really was not a need for that considering Kelly didn't really do anything to them to warrant that type of behavior. Typical Debbie. Ugh. This whole storyline with Debbie and Carl trying to win over Kelly has been exhausting to watch. So boring. Kelly has not been intriguing to me this whole season. I could not care less for her. Speaking of people I could not care less for, let's talk about Tami. Honestly, Tami might be one of the worst characters I have ever witnessed in television history. The way she treats people around her is truly awful. Lip has been nothing but kind to her and all she does in return is bitch and moan. I feel like the producers tried to get the audience to understand why she is the way she is because she ended up with the BRCA gene. Uh, yea no. Just because you are carrying a disease that is very serious, does not give you a reason to act like a brat and an ass to everyone. I'm sorry, it doesn't. I have known so many people that have had serious diseases, but instead of being negative about it, they turn it into a positive and live their life to the fullest. Tami did and does not. Lip needs to run away from her next season, but he won't considering now she is going to have the baby. Tami, please be written off the show next season. Thanks.

Fiona (Emmy Rossum) makes her decision to leave Chicago.

Ok. Let's get to the main story of the episode. Fiona Gallagher's departure. Is it me or should they have focused on her more? She is and was the heart of this show. Every action she made or her family made impacted her and how she dealt with it. They made this feel like a side plot, even though it was intended to be the main plot. That is my detractor from her departure. I'll let it slide though, because I actually think the writers did an average job in the way they handled it, and in today's Shameless seasons, average translates to above average. I wish all the siblings could have properly said goodbye to Fiona, but what are you gonna do? Fiona did what was best for her. She could not take the time to say goodbye because she knew she would not end up leaving. I loved how the writers handled Frank saying goodbye to her. At first, I thought we would get shitty writing where Frank would get really emotional and say how sorry he was to see her go and to just shower her with compliments on how she raised his kids, but I am glad they went the opposite approach. Yes, we saw Frank get a little emotional. You could see the tears in his eyes, but of course he did not show Fiona that he was sad. He also did thank Fiona, but he really did not at the same time. He said she only really "helped out" rather than doing everything. It was very in character for Frank to be a complete douche, so I have to give an A+ to the writers on that one. The ending scene with Fiona boarding the plane was also a nice touch the episode. Both Fiona and the little girl that sits next to her have never been on an airplane before. The little girl compares to the grown Fiona in that they are both inexperienced with life beyond what is in front of them, but they both will finally find out. Again, good job writers. Never thought I would give the writers so much praise on a recent Shameless episode.

Emmy Rossum leaving is a major lose to the show. I do not think the show can afford a hug blow especially with ratings and quality declining. Fiona was the heart of the show, and there is going to be a major void in the next season. Hopefully next season is its last, so the audience does not have to experience that void of a missing Fiona. Emmy, you killed it on this show! I hated what they did to your character for the recent episodes, and I am glad they fixed you up before you departed. We will miss you and I hope you do not stay away from the show a long time!

Survivor: Edge of Extinction Premiere Thoughts

What a shitty mess of a Survivor premiere episode. Look I went into this episode with very low expectations because I do not need a crystal ball to predict that this season is going to be complete garbage, but this episode was one of the worst premiere's the show has had. Yes, even worse than the premiere episode of Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers, and that is saying a lot. First, I would like to discuss this rigga morris "twist" that Jeff Probst has thrown into the game. Hard-core fans of the show are not stupid ya'll; the Facebook cat lady casuals are, but the super fans are not. The twist is only in this season to give the returning players a chance to get back into the game in case they are voted out just like it was for Redemption Island and South Pacific, but Jeff Probst has said "Oh, we just like to experiment with new twists to give the fans something new." Jeff Probst is a obviously a liar just like when he said that twist for Ben in season 35 was not there to save him. Bullshit. It was. Jeff Probst has ruined Survivor. The show has had good seasons with him as executive producer, but when the show has had bad seasons, they have been absolute trash.

Aside from the god awful "twist" this season has, let's discuss this uninspiring cast we met tonight. Wow! Two purple edits tonight! Are we surprised? No. Julia and Chris have no shot of winning this season. Every one knows that the winner of the season always gets a confessional in the premiere episode (except for Tina, but that was in Australia (season 2). Like the producers could not have given us a confessional from either of them to at least give their opinions on other tribemates? Such lazy editing. Rick is going to get on my last nerves this season. I do not understand these people. Almost every season we see a nerd or a guy with a "great" Southern charm go far, and these people never take them out. They would be my first target because I know Jeff and production are going to do everything in their power to keep them safe in the game. Jeff is already calling Rick "Devens". That is a huge insight into the game. Jeff is trying to make this guy a thing, but this guy was such an ass hat tonight, that I am heavily rooting against him. Wardog was a douche. I hate how casting always has to cast a "Tony" player. Cast original people, not people who resemble others. Wendy is such an awful player. I liked her discussing her tourettes, but other than that...just no. She can go. Lauren is forgettable. Bye. Ron found an advantage. Insert the Da'Vonne gif of her pretending to be shocked. I did not need an eight ball to see that happening. Reem was such a predictable first boot, and the editors were trying to play it up like Wendy could have gone home. She was absolutely horrible at the game, and I hope she does not come back in. Honestly I am getting more mad talking about these people, so I am not going to waste my breath on any more of them. The only person I liked tonight was Aubry. I do not shit on Michele as a winner because I actually think she was deserving of winning, but Aubry would have been better. I think it would be great if she won this season even though it would be smart for the new players to get her out as soon as possible because she is a great Survivor player. So #TeamAubry.

I don't know guys. This episode was just bad. It really was. It does not make me want to watch the rest of the season, but I'm going to, anyways. I may just hate watch it like I did with Ghost Island. I really am rooting for a woman to win this season. I am so sick of the same type of people winning season after season. And no, if there is a guy that is there in the end of the game and they played better than the girl, then the guy should win, but I am hoping for once that that does not happen. I am predicting another bad season of the show, and it really sucks considering David v. Goliath was an excellent season, overall (even though I think Mike should have won over Nick; he ran circles around him in the game). Let me know what you thought of this premiere! We'll see if I write more thoughts on the season, I am not sure. I will definitely do one for the finale!

Celebrity Big Brother 2 Finale Review

Wow! What a finale I just witnessed! So many great moments to another great season of Big Brother. Headed into the finale, I was really rooting for Kandi to win, but I had a feeling she would be leaving based on the feeds I watched yesterday. Kandi was an amazing player this season. She went from really just being a houseguest that was there, to a houseguest who at one point took the bull by the horns. She hopped on board Tom's train when he was HOH., and controlled his nominations where she got who she wanted out. Amazing! I was sad when she was evicted, but she was such a class act that I knew she was going to be okay in the long run especially since Ricky gave two shits about evicting her. Talk about straight to the point and blunt.

This whole final five I thought was pretty decent. Were almost half of them a bit unlikable? Yes, but remember the friendship were unlikable in season six, but I respected their gameplay especially Maggie's. Dina was funny in some parts of the season, but she was just a dead body that these houseguest were dragging around. The sad part is that she would have won the season if she was in the final two. Yea, let that sink in. She did take her eviction with grace, though so I will give her that.
Lolo, oh dear Lolo. You're crazy girl. This whole season revolved around Lolo being an emotional mess. Any little thing would set Lolo off, and I was just like wtf?! She is crazy; however, I did think she played an okay game. Was it perfect? Hell to the no. Far from it. But she had some good moves which helped her throughout the season. But boy was she pissed when Ricky evicted her. I would too, but I do not think I would be bitter. The audience clapping and being in disbelief was everything! Oh my God! So many good reactions! I hope Lolo stays off of social media for a while; she is not very liked from fans. Ricky I thought also played a very good strategic game; however, his social game was piss poor. Dear God. He should have at least been a little more nicer to Dina, Lolo, and Kandi when he evicted them, but I guess he did not know any better! Big mistake. All in all his gameplay was decent. He made the girls split from their initial alliance, and I think he really came through at the end of the game with spearheading decisions.

Now. Let's get to Tamar Braxton, our winner. Wow! What an amazing game she played. She had her highs and she had her lows, but her highs outweighed her lows. She floated when she had to. Yes, floated not coasted, she played both sides and set herself up nicely in the middle, so no one would come after her. She had some great moves like splitting up Tom and Kato, she won the power and smartly hid it from her other houseguests, she turned Lolo and Natalie against Kato and Tom, which was brilliant. She also won crucial competitions when she needed to, and she developed relationships when they needed to be mended. Also, I loved her relationship with Kandi, and it was beautiful when Kandi cast her vote for her. Also, Tamar provided great answers to the jury, and that is what they wanted to hear. She was real unlike Ricky who maybe thought he had it in the bag. Tamar also is the 2nd US winner to win in a unanimous vote after season ten winner Dan Gheesling way back in 2008. She deserved it, and she played a kickass game. This is also the first season where a black person has won, and 4 out of the final 5 were black. History was made and it was fantastic to see this happen on Black History Month. Also, congrats to Tom Green for winning AFP. He seems like a very nice guy, and he was given a hard time in the house. He's a cool dude.

This season of Big Brother was amazing. I think season one was a smidge better, but this season was still very good. There was so much drama, gameplay, great casting, and decent competitions. I do not understand the fans who did not like this season, yet these are the same people who liked Big Brother 15 which the main theme of the season was racism. It shows how two-faced and hypocritical some of these fans are. I am really hoping they renew the celebrity version for a third season because both seasons have been so much better than the regular show. I am looking forward to Big Brother 21. I hope it is even better than Big Brother 20 was.

Thank you all for reading my review on the finale of Celebrity Big Brother 2. I hope you all liked the season. Leave a comment telling me your thoughts on the season. I would love to hear what you have to say.
